rossvr6 0
First post!Alright guys I've got a '95 Golf Vr6 which has done just over 100,000 miles now. For the last two weeks or so there has been what I can only describe as a creaking sort of noise that only seems to happen when pulling away. There is also a scraping/grinding sound when the weight shifts as I let off the accelerator. I'm guessing the two are related. Seems to be coming from the front driver's side wheel area. I'm not an expert by any means but when changing a track rod end last week we couldn't see anything wrong in that area *-) So has anyone had this before or have any ideas what it could be? Its starting to worry me slightly now!Cheers, Ross
Devildub_06 0
Check the back plate on your front brake disc for sufficient clearance, but i'd have an educated guess at wishbone bush. Do you know when these were done last?
rossvr6 0
I think the bush was changed for the MOT back in January, I'll check the paperwork when I get a chance. Also it doesn't do it when reversing and seems to go away when the cars been running for a while if that helps! Cheers Devildub
