kniterider 0
right my last 2 vr6's have had performance ssystems on when i got them (my ebay bargin and then my old show car), now after nearly a year of not owning a vr ive just gone and got another... anyways just got a powerflow stainless rear silencer, jack the car up tonight to size it up ready for fitting tomorrow to find a right pain in the rear end... it seems my vr6 (old pensioner low mileage car) has what i would describe as the original factory fit exhaust as it seems to be one piece?? well the back box is connected to the middlebox,(no join , so surely it must be fitted with rear beam out of the way??) both in good condition, but i want to fit this powerflow so i guess ive gotta go in there with a hacksaw....... not looking forward to it tomorrow....any one else ever had this problem?? DAZVR6 0
Not had that problem but on a different note had the middle box taken out and replaced with a straight through pipe which makes it mega free flowing....6-2-1 minus cat straight to back box and it sounds awesome. petervr6 0
yes mate you need to cut it but i would cut it right near were the pipe goes into the rear box as the suitcase box (middlebox) are very expensive compared to the rear box incase you need to put in back on for some reson.. Damo 85 0
Yeh mat as said, they are assembled before the rear beam is placed in situe. i took mine to a local exhaust plave and they had it off in a minute with their gas cutters. couldnt be bothered trying to hacksaw it off whilst on a jack!! kniterider 0
got it on, wasnt too bad really... no blood or skin anywhere... lol... gonna refit it again on sunday as need to trim the rear bumper trim a tad as getting a slight vibration when pulling off , other than that it looks and sounds better than the original down swept pee shooters!!
