Phat VR6 3
looking great Bodge' date=' definately a good point you made to cover your rear glass properly when the grinder comes out, my rear glass has hundreds of tiny cuts in it when it got smoothed/frenched.i thought it looked good with the mk4 lights and thin grill, i think im just getting old [/quote']lol yeah i think i still like the mk3 front end more but i crashed it into a big 4*4 and killed the bonnet lights and slam pannle, Got the vento bonnet cheep and it doesn't need paint so i went for that instead.Ive taken the glass out on the 2nd one, perspex is going back into it

Phat VR6 3
whats the cost of a perspex rear window ??you can get different grades, standard, then UV protected, then some dank uv and scratch resistant stuff. Think its about £150 for the good stuff, enough to do a car. But you need a way of clearing the rear screen as it wont be heated

Bigjobbo 0
I think you have done a top job with your filler work, for the sake of the paint finish i would have taken the gate to the bodyshop and got them to prep and paint it. Foreignor, i reckon 30 notes plus materials. I've been toying with the idea of smoothing all the recess's on the car when i respray it, just trying to figure out the costs. Thicker metal on the strip above the number plate I hear what your saying about getting the pros to do it but these are the results i get in a proper spray booth with a proper spray patten, gun ect Instead of my garage with is the MOST rubbish spraying environment in the world and im not impressed with the cans lol Theres about 10 bumpers, steps, archs out on the road which i painted so i plan on getting a nice set up at home so i can do the bumpers/ tail gate maybe even the wings and doors. But thats at the bottom of my list lol

Phat VR6 3
Started to sort that rusty hole out today, Probably the worse weather to do it in and it tryed to kill me lol. Grinder disc shattered into my neck. then i touched it with my knuckle and cut down to the bone lol... Thats all the rot grinded out.. the specks you can still see will be grinded back to clean metal after the weldings been done for paint Cardboard template Going to try get it welded in tomoro... see how i feel but i easily find better things to do with my time lol And this is the old hidden wiring loom. goes thought the chassis legs. couldn't stop it misfiring so ive ive put a standard one in just to get me back on the road... probably going to split the loom up, Fans/ Lights/ and engine and install them one buy one at a later date while is on the road. should be easier that way
