jawvr6 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Report Share Posted June 2, 2008 hi just bin out in my golf and the peddle has just stayed at the floor ...i mean its like the clutch cable has snaped but they dont have one i looked at the peddle and theres a rod sticking out and a bit of pastick is broken and its white it looks like it holds the rod to the peddle....can any one help Link to post Share on other sites

The rod is part of the master cylnder which supplies fluid to the slave cylnder which pushes the clutch, and the white plastic clip locates the ROD of the master cylnder to the pedal. Check the pedal as there is a small box section that the white plastic clip fits into and the front spotwelds can break and the rod comes through and jams the pedal down, If this has happend then new pedal, Link to post Share on other sites

Its obvs that the pedal isn't acting on the master cylinder as you say that clips broken and the rod sticking out.You can get them from VW Link to post Share on other sites
