thegoth 5
Bodge it up so that the air bag light is displayed as ABS!

Ben Seabrook 4
Well you could fix it or pull the ABS warning bulb out - but I would never suggest that
thegoth 5
Well you could fix it or pull the ABS warning bulb out - but I would never suggest that it would still fail as the light needs top be seen coming on and turning off.

VR6Pete 1,455
What does VAG-COM say about your ABS fault?
jezmoz 0
replace the abs dash light with CL trim piece
matty.vrt 120
had this problem on a previous car if you take the relays and fuse out it is classed as not having abs hey presto its passed.
shail 0
Sure its the pump? My light has been on and off for a couple of years with VAGCOM saying all kinds of things like pump and rear ABS. I had dry solder joints in the ABS ECU which my mech sorted out in about half hour, and now its fine
akz786 0
comming from the mk4 golf scene first I would say this is common across VAG cars, get a scan done if you can with VAG-COM to tell you what the fault is...9/10 its either sensor, Exciter ABS ring, or the ECU connection to ABS unit needs to be unplugged and cleaned with electrical cleaner as I found out!HTH
nivag27 5
Check the fault on VAG COM reset it and check it again at least that way you will know for sure.
