madspark01 0 Posted June 6, 2008 Report Share Posted June 6, 2008 have had a problem with my sharan vr6 since the lifters were done on of them gets noisy when the engine warms up. Have been advised by a mechanic friend that before stripping it down again to use forte engine flush and forte top end treatment. Luckily this motor only has 60000mls on it any ideas if this will work the stealth bomber needs sorted (call it the stealth bomber because the boy racers dont know whats going on till its to late) and they have been humped. Local specialist who done the job refuses to rectify the problem put the car in as it was extremley noisy i thought it was the followers. Unfortunatley the noise was the timing chain tensioners both shattered thats what happens when you hit 3rd insted of 5th.
