went on the rolling road but not good power

went on the rolling road for the first time and i have owned the vr for 4 years now

it has fsh and the car drives great the sound with the bmc was great

my best run was

max power=166.35

max torque=176.40

max clutch power=180.42

run conditions 83.44 f 30.33 in Hg, humidity 29% din 1.00

with only 2 mods bmc air filter and a full catback s/s magnex exhaust

i was hoping for 190bhp but with 122,000 miles and 13 year old car am i being greedy? what would the next mod to great more .but on a budget

Is your power at the fly 180bhp?? and the wheel figure 166?? As its not really clear

If the fly figure is 166 id get the car checked over and fault codes read as that seems very low

i only got 174 with mine recently was told i had a fueling problem and need my inecjtors servicing badly, didnt tehy give you any feedback? if not then thats not very good service imo

Mine was on the rollers at the previous Golfgti.co.uk rolling road day at Awesome and made 191.4bhp at the fly wheel and 173 bhp at the wheels with max torque being 173 aswell so you made more torque than me which makes me think yours is healthy.

sorry guys but what is the standard power of a vr6? i keep being told different i.e 172bhp, 182bhp and 191bhp,

but odb2 was around the 180-190bhp mark

VW did quote 174bhp for 2.8 and 190 for 2.9
