amit 0
I couldnt really find nice bumpers for the mk3 golfs, so my mind is on getting a descent looking splitter for the front, swg sideskirts, and a lower lip for the rear bumper. drop it with coiovers, and a set of 17" chromes. Ive seen pics of mk3 golfs loaded out with flared arches, chunckybodykits, flushed tailgates. I mean....is it all really worth it??? Flared arches do look good, but the bumpers that come with them are totally shite looking. I was wondering if........AC schnitzer parts like their splitter and rear diffuser could go on the mk3 golfs. Their stuff is really nice, it doesnt look OTT.
binliner 0
I mean....is it all really worth it??? All depends on what you like... I have to say body kits arent my cup of tea, (dont mind a bit of smoothing here and there though!) have you got any pics of what you mean?
amit 0
FOR EXAMPLE THIS GOLF.[ smlmk3golffrt.jpg ]
amit 0
actually, SWG are the only ones ive come across, that keep their bodystyling parts nice 'n' simple. Their 'smooth look' front and rear bumpers are worth considering. Those are definitley on my list.
binliner 0
agreed.. swg stuff is quite tasteful
amit 0
but then again.....lookin at your car (binliner) and jonsvr6highline, some cars look the biz with a drop and some nice lookin alloys. You dont need to fap about with different bumpers and flushed tailgates.
amit 0
what i got in mind is.....front ABT spoiler, SWG side skirts. I dont know whether to change or add a different lower lip on the rear bumper or just colour code the existing one. At the moment its just a black trim at the bottom rear. I need sum ideas
amit 0
bin liner....in yur pic, you car looks like a mk4. Those alloys look nice and big.
binliner 0
cheers... theyre 17s but maybe it being low makes them look big. That lip on the rear bumper you mentioned is actually part of the bumper, it doesnt come off (I found that out when I colour coded mine !)If you want ideas... check out mags & websites or best of all go to shows and meets (photos dont always do these cars justice) and build up a picture of what you think looks good then go for it
nickbee 1
Yeah, wait 'til you've been to a few shows and you've seen all the options. It's just as I said with the tuning, you don't want to rush into it all.
VR6Steve 0
Have a good look around at shows and as many decent websites as possible. Most of all, make sure you style the car for yourself, not to fit in with current styling fashion
acf8181 0
my thoughts are that its much better to spend the money under the bonnet and on handling if the car looks good as standard, which i think the mkIII does.think of what mechanical bits you could get for the same money.
