ok guys and gals see if you can help with this one, whilst driving tonight the temp was at a steady 105 degrees on the gauge, which i reckon is a tad hot, fans cut in whilst drivin down road, any ideas what it could be, dont wanna cook any parts that shouldnt be gettin hot !!!

Can anyone help the top rad pipe is hot and the lower one is hot but not as much as top hose, could it be thermostat, the guy who had it b4 me said it always ran hot, he did put a new matrix in it but it ran hot b4 he did that,so really i am a bit lost on what it could be !!

its well within limits, but not a great sign when you also mention the rad pipe being cooler. mine ran quite hot for a couple of weeks then the thermostat stuck shut on a motorway run... eek. best tryin a new thermostat and fresh coolant etc. you'll find the thermostat about halfway down the block, passenger side. its in the housing that ur radiator pipes go into... u'll prob also find it easier to remove the entire housing to get at it.. since i changed all mine it hardly ever gets over 94.

lol tell me about it! i sat looking at it for ages thinking, its so bloody awkward. most cars you can just take off a little cover and the stat drops out. this ones that tight that u either have to have the transmission off, or remove the whole housing just to get at the bolts!! might be worth getting a new housing & o-rings etc as they are prone to just pi$$ing water out once you start to play around with em. just so you know lol
