charger pulley swap v9f, HOW TO!

Recommended Posts

I blame 1st day back at work and the dyslexia..

As long as you can keep it solid (not moving) it is easy to do and outta the engine all the way.

I'm sure you know this but worth a mention.... Just remember to give it a few mins on start up for everything to re-pressurise - oil feeds in particular...

Good luck.. :)

Right, all done

Take the charger off and tape up the inlets

14mm socket on an impact wrench and the bolt is off instantly

2 pry bars, 1 on each side of the pulley and carefully and equally inch it up the shaft, making sure you collect the woodruff key (small piece of steel)

slot the key back into the slot, grease the shaft and side the new pulley on making sure its locked in place with the key

little bit of loctite thread lock on the bolt and impact wrench it back on

Done, more boost ahoy!! ;)

without and impact wrench it would be a nightmare job, so if you havnt got access to one, take it to the local garage and ask nicely, ever if it cost you a few beers its worth it to save your hassle
