scott-mk3 0 Posted July 11, 2008 Report Share Posted July 11, 2008 Hey,Im doing a obd1 vr6 conversion into my 97 2.0 8v gti and am looking for some guidance with the issue of changing the obd2 of my car to obd1 of the vr6 engine.I have the full vr6 car which im stripping and using.I have the engine gearbox ecu wiring etc which is all needed but will i need a conversion harness to save me from change the whole cars wiring loom inside etc?If so could you point me in the right directionAny other help appreciatedscott Link to post Share on other sites

scott-mk3 0 Posted July 11, 2008 Author Report Share Posted July 11, 2008 Selling the gti and buying a vr6 isnt really an option as iv already got the vr sitting in my drive all stripped ready for the engine to be lifted out.When you say only change the loom to the fuse box i take it you kept the obd2 dash loom on place then.If you have any other things which you think may be worthwhile me knowing would be greatly appreciated as ready to get on with the conversion.Just trying to sort it all first before taking the gti off the road for a bit to do it.
