one replaces the cam breather, which should have an oil trap so it's up to you if you want to use it.

The other is part of the OBD1 idle stability system so if you have an OBDII engine you don't need it at all. If you don't then again it's personal choice. The lozenger shaped part is simply anchored to the pipe.

in the long term it should be kept ( it's is there for a purpose ) otherwise your Throttle Body will get fouled sooner rather than later.

I had my samco on for 18months or so but have gone back to the original set up as my TB was filthy and the hose itself had discoloured as they are not designed for exposure to oil.
