c4mbl 1 Posted July 28, 2008 Report Share Posted July 28, 2008 hey folks, hope its ok to post this up here, im just basically looking for some help for my mums new car!she has recently bought a mk3 golf cabriolet, L reg, its in totally mint condition (im well jealous )just one problem...... it has a misfire!! Happens when sitting at idle, and also when accelrating, between about 1500 to 3000 rpm. after 3000rpm it seems to settle out, and no misfire is apparent.i have had it plugged into VAG-COM, and no faults were found.I have replaced the ignition coil, and it also has a new dizzy cap on it.its using no oil and water.hope u dont me posting it on here, but reall intrested to hear anyones suggestions!! petervr6 0 Posted July 30, 2008 Report Share Posted July 30, 2008 theres a part thats has a plug with i think 4wires forgot the name it goes or its attached to the coil pack with 2screws these do play up as i have changed a few of them for non starting a misfires,...ohhh ignition module its called.
