antera309 3
The 197bhp Vauxhall VX220 Turbo is a stonking motor (0-60 in 4.7!!!!). Trouble is they're bloody rare and sell for over £17k . The 145bhp N/A ones are more plentiful, about £5k cheaper but are not so highly rated.A Scooby will give you the most entertainment per £. Go for one of the "bug eyed" ones, they're very good money at the moment and the Chavs haven't cottoned onto them yet.The Audi S4 is a pretty good bet too.If you want big performance and want to stay with VW, I reckon the best way to go is get a well-treated Mk4 GTI 1.8T (wait until December when the Mk5 GTI comes out, the prices are sure to drop!!) and get Stealth Racing to tune the hell out of it.[ Edited Mon Oct 11 2004, 06:13PM ]

VR6Steve 0
I'm with Andy on this. If I didn't drive a VAG group car it would be a Vauxhall for me. I worked for a dealership for 4 1/2 years and on the whole found them more reliable than the cars I saw working for VW.Had a 1.2 Nova for about 2 1/2 years and have to say it was probably THE most reliable car I have ever owned! :-)
