A genuine seal is more than £10 and I wouldn't use anything else. Pulley end seal is easy to replace, but the clutch end one needs the box dropping as you say, which would be a good time to do the chains and clutch - if required. Costs will spiral to £1000 if you do all of that.....

its at NS racing. they a reputable place. they said seal is about ten pounds-he is gonna price it up for me and let me know how much is it. i had the clutch done not too long ago and the tensioner pulley too so wouldnt need to do that. how much do you reckon it would cost just for this job. bit worried bout expenses at the moment cos dont have much money at the moment.
