Patvr6 0
hi all, as above, I received my Carbonio today and the instructions seem to be from another planet being America/Canada, my mate reckons this would have been straight forward, but does not look so to me, Drilling,Charcoal Filter,Rellocation,PipesAir Breather off air box etcWhat, i dont understand LOL, can anyone point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance. binliner 0
charcoal filter doesn't need relocation just remove it... undo the 2 hoses, block the black one and leave the clear one open. Cable tie them together and tuck them out of the way somewhere. It's held in by a single screw.UK cars iirc don't have the air breather on the airbox that's NA cars only. Not sure what you need to drill because I don't have the instructions... but you do

Being an idiot the instructions made me chuckle with recommended fitting time 1 hour, not in my case LOL.If i manage to do it I will show my work efforts, if not expect to see a reply on here saying HELP ME!!!! FishWick 21
If you really want to remove the carbon can, you also need to block the port on the throttle body and because the ECU is mapped to compensate for the fuel vapours, you also need to remove (or unplug) the black (or blue if OBD1) solenoid attached to the offside turret.Personally I would relocate the carbon can. It fits easily alongside the radiator. You car will fail the mot if the tester sees a tank vent pipe dangling in free air!!

FishWick 21
Cool :-)If you start smelling petrol, don't worry, it's because the tank vent (clear hose) is open to free air ;-)

Patvr6 0
not beong flipant but thought this was streight forward and ony took me an hour ish glad you have done it now thogh did you keep the can or not Its cool, I use to be a mechanic once upon a time working on Black Taxis lol, no one would think so if they met me. I kept the can, and followed the instructions about relocating the canister under the battery tray only to realize, my battery tray is different to the norm as my car is not a VR6 originally but a 1.8 cabrio, but i found a place fo locate it and at the moment its cable tied until i can complete my bracket for it, but other than that it tokk around 2.5 to 3 hours, including a snack break, and loads of talking. But its on and sounds to excellent to me.
