I just saw a T plate mk3 Golf in a Burgundy colour. It had the semi colour coded bumpers so looked really early and just generally looked like it should have been on about an m plate maybe, The only thing about it was that it was very tidy.

Please correct me if i'm wrong but something dodgy surely.

I thought that T plate was well into mk4 but you do hear about car companies losing cars then registering them later on. But it defo had VR6 on the grill.

losing? do you reckon it was hiding under a pile of boxes in a VW factory for a couple of years? lol

When they store them they put them all over the place. I used to work at a Volvo dealership and we registered an old Volvo 850 on a 53 plate. Looked really weird. And it was literally a case of finding some old stock. As it had never been registered they can register them brand new.

Quite cool really. Wonder if they can find me a mk1 Caddy lying in a factory somewhere?
