Karr-Man 0
ive recently been getting some rumbling/vibration which feels like its coming from the front nearside of the car...guessing that this may be the bearing but any opinions/ideas on what might be the cause would be welcomethanx
VR6 VDF 0
might also be the inner/outer CVs?does it do it at a certain speed? or direction?
Karr-Man 0
doesnt seem limited to a certain speed although i havent driven fast since i noticed it. difficult to tell if its worse when turning as its not a huge vibration, just enuff that it feels wrong, its certainly not the way it was a couple of weeks ago.is there any way to check cv joints without taking them apart???EDIT: the steering seem to have a very slight pull to the left which i dont think was there b4...its not massive but if u let go of the wheel she slowly drifts left
VR6 VDF 0
lol with the veering to the left I think most cars do that..! some sort of safety feature where if you fall asleep at the wheel, you dont head towards traffic travelling in the opposite direction ... instead you head towards the pavement with all the innocent civilians walking by! lolAnyhow, have a look at both of the CV boots and see if any of them are split or have grease leaking out of them. Also, full lock the steering to the left or the right and drive around and see if there are any clicking noises. Other than that dont know any without taking the boots off. try googling 'check for bad wheel bearing' or 'bad cv joint' or something see what comes up.Hope its not too expensive to fix buddy!! Karr-Man 0
thanx m8, i must confess the 1st thing that went through my mind was whos breaking atm on vr6oc, but on reflection that seems like it could be a big gamble as u can never tell how a car has been driven... i may as well bite the bullet now and know its sorted:)
