FishWick 21
Yep, that's exactly why I suggested it. I figured if you wanted to use the stock inlet, you'd be going down the front mount intercooler route. It would work very well imo......providing it clears everything. I think it would personally, but I'm not paying $300 to find out :-)
sharky_70 0
there's a guy on vortex selling the mani and dp. ceramic coated too, dunno if the dp is the v band one thoughtbh the price between the atp and spa mani isnt much different, so be better to go atp and not worry about it cracking or mating up flush on the ports
FishWick 21
Yep, my thoughts exactly. The ATP manifold has been in use for years, and even with 850whp (schimmel) engines, the ATP mani has never cracked.
Radostormvr6 2
i did say ATP, did anyone listen 8-)
FishWick 21
Read the posts! He can't use the ATP because he wants to run the stock manifold :-)
Radostormvr6 2
Read the posts! He can't use the ATP because he wants to run the stock manifold :-)Why do the job by half, use a short runner
CorradoVR6-n.o.s 0
you can use atp with stock manifold, just fit the turbo downover and use the ATP Turbo downpipe.
sharky_70 0
thats the plan! switch the intake/MAF to the passenger side and bung the battery in the boot.unless i find a decent 2nd hand SRI anyway$900 for a practically new Schimmel a good price? pre shipping though
sharky_70 0
guys im trying to picture the clearance round the sides and back.would it be possible to run the atp mani and dp set-up WITHOUT clocking the turbo, and running the turbo outlet round the side of the blcok to the fmic then the usual route to the tb
sharky_70 0
raking this up again!has anyone looked into the C2 motosrports mani? that utilises the stock cast iron manifolds, and drops the turbo right down behind the block.
trix2702 23
I hope to do mine by running the intake above the gearbox more like a 20vt. and outlet round drivers side, then a short pipe from cooler to short intake
