parkersdub 0
Hi AllReally need some advice, still new to VR ownership and have to say think have bought a bad egg. Have only driven about 3 times and the rest of the time it just waits to be repaired at the garage. Any way it just failed the MOT on emisions. The garage have checked the Lambda sensor and also replaced the CAT but still no luck. Am a bit gutted they replaced the CAT already but any one any ideas on what it could be.Despite so far spending about £1500 on this car and never driving it I am going to persevere with her, something about the grin I get when driving her.Cheers all
vr6newcomer 1
hi there mate and welcome to the site, firstly i very strongly recommend that in future you dont let any garage carry out any work on your car without checking over it yourself, otherwise believe me you will very quickly spend another £1500. firstly find out how high the emmisions were to cause the failure, has the car had an oil service, how old are your spark plugs? air filter? all this basic stuff is where you need to start.
