mpgscott 0
Hi,My 1996 VR6 appears to run OK when cold, but once it heats up it is very spluttery on throttle when pulling away from junctions.Any ideas what would cause this? I have done the fix on the coil pack and the problem is still present.Cheers
ip 0
I had similar symptoms to yours and did the fix on my coilpack but it did not help. It depends where the coil has broken down. External means the epxoy fix will work. Internal means the epoxy will do nowt and it has to be replaced.Could also be ht leads. They are usually the first item to check when you start to experience miss-firing at low revs.I had a mate with a VR and borrowed his leads to check whether mine had failed. Alt, there is a guy who often has VR HT leads on ebay for £27.99. I bought a set and they have been great.
thegoth 5
over two and a half thousand pounds for a set of leads seemed expensive so I've edited you post to make them cheaper.
