dubloke 4 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Share Posted October 14, 2004 you have to remove the whole thermostat housing from the car(3 allen headed bolts) and then the thermostat is held inside that, remove and re-new. refitting is reversal, not forgetting to have drained the coolant first of course! dubloke 4 Posted October 14, 2004 Report Share Posted October 14, 2004 obviously its often not that easy, but thats the general idea. removing the pipes to the housing gains you better access to the bolts as they are fiddly little suckers! i'm taking it you know where the housing is to start with of course!
