SimonABT 0
Hi guys, im trying to get a new Oil pump from VW but they cant order me one unless i give them a reg number or a chassis number?! This normally wouldnt be a problem but the engine is in a Mk2 and the engine number is not visible bue to engine painted heavily. The engine is a 2.8 OBD1 from what i can remember and has a Dizzy not coilpacks. What ages were VR6's with Dizzys instead of coilpacks? Only other way is to remove oil pump from engine and take it to VW or read part number to them but this is not possible at the moment. Any help much appreciated
thegoth 5
Ekta is showing a 92 VR6 oil pump as 021 115 105Band if that doesn't help you have PM
craggsy 91
Well if engine is registered to that reg it should find it shouldnt it?
SimonABT 0
You mean the VR6 engine is registered to the Mk2 reg??!!My Mk2 is still registered as a 1.3 CL at the moment as ive not yet finished the VR6 conversion.
thegoth 5
And that will only be with the DVLA. I assume VW use their own records of the original purchase.
purpiablo 0
Hi Mate, I've just replaced the oil pump on a 1992 VR6 dizzy. TheGoth has the correct number, just get your local VW to order it up. Or ask eurocarparts to check for stock! If you are still stuck then PM.p/no:021 115 105B
craggsy 91
What we need is richie to tell us what VW use to check cars/engines

Saunders82 0
there being stupid anyways chassis numbers on mk3 golfs dont go in properly theres only really early cars with dizzys or later ones with coil pack older cars pre 98 you have to look most bits up manually. There werent interested generally because it sounded like it could be trouble and blinded thinking if they sell you the wrong oil pump your engine will go bang. When to be honest its a simple request
