LB1984 0
HiSo i recently had a an ABS sensor fitted to my golf due to it showing an error - inducated by light and after a friend has a look at the sensor. However after the new sensor was fitted the ABS light was still stayin on, so i foolishly (being female) thought ooo ill have a look the lights beind the dash - dont ask my why or what i was going to do, cos i couldnt have fixed it anyway.....So i messed about a bit a curiosity got the better of, and so i took the 'thing' apart having a nosey and well.....now the airbag light is staying on.I took it to a friend who ran a diagnostic on it, he cleared the ABS fault code, but the airbag was showing nothing!!!So i must of done something to annoy it.......Only thing is,,,,, if i fiddle with the lights i can either make the AIrbag light go off, and the abs stays on - permenatly or vice versa.... but when i secure the whole thing back together - its the Airbag light what stays on.Fistly - i hope ive put this in the right sectionsecondly - have i f*cked summert up - that can or cant be fixed????Any help??????????Thanks
Karr-Man 0
assuming that u only took out the section with the abs/airbag lights in then maybe u damaged the PCB that the lights are mounted on?? touching it with bare hands might have been enough to do it. if u delved deeper than that then u better say what u did as without that were just guessing
LB1984 0
no i only went as far as looking at the bulbs and what they were connected too.
Karr-Man 0
if uve touched nothing else then logic would suggest that u might have damaged the pcb??u might be able to pick another abs/airbag light assembly up cheaply on ebay or from yr local breakers
