help my babys not well !

well i dont think its been running right for a couple off weeks now, and at the weekend i started her up and drove her for about 3-5 mins and she was fine, i then stoped at the lights and it started to run lumpy, so i drove for a couple off meters before getting anoid with it so i decided to slow down and thrash it, through 1st 2nd and 3rd it pulls lumpy till 3000 revs then dissapears, just before the cam comes in on them at around 4000, and a surge off power comes, after the thrashing she was fine, i then drove it to brighton and back no probs, wich is about an hour either way.

but this morning it did the same thing, was fine for about 5 mins then run lumpy again, so i, wait u guessd it i canned the living crap out off it at 6.30 in the pissing rain, and then it was fine again,

so when i got home from work i thought id have a look at it. plugs, fine. leads fine. oil cap off, oh wait whats that, some very slight creamy substance, wich leads me to think head gasket ????????????

but would that cuase that ? any help would be much appriciated

Possibly coilpack.......happens more so when cold, have a look in dark when engine is cold and you should see it arcing if its buggered.

Mines doing it at mo so i'm taking it of and fixing it

Oh and the mayo in cap might just be moisture as its been cold damp and rainy fro a few days now

its got a big old air filter on it, from max power by the looks off it, from the previous owner, could that cuase the moisture, i have just recently bouhgt a stander air box, shall i use it ?

makes no odds on air filter mate. Just when car is stood it gets cold
