PEDROX 0
not to sure about the amp yet, might try and get it fixed, any ideas where I can do this??1200W Max. power output 2 ohms RMS power output 2 x 300W, 4 ohms RMS power output 2 x 150W 4 ohms bridged power output 1 x 600W so do i just run the two 6x9 of 2 channels and bridge the other 2 to run the sub??I dont understand the 2/4 ohms rms stuff !dodge link to amp http://www.justkenwood.co.uk/stock01/kacps621.asp
Eat this 2
so do i just run the two 6x9 of 2 channels and bridge the other 2 to run the sub?? spot on m8 if u put 1 speaker accross 2 outputs (bridge) it halves the impedence (ohms) speakers r normally 4 ohms so it would make it 2 ohms try yellow pages look for car audio specialists they can b hard and expensiv to fix

madspark01 0
best advice stay clear of kenwood amps the new generation tend to be over rated on the output spec they may be cheap to buy but are also cheaply built try and stick with what you had to avoid being disapointed how did you manage to kill the amp as the fozzie has cut outs to avoid damaging them
Eat this 2
pioneer amps also have thermal and overload cut outs
PEDROX 0
OK ditching the kenwoods for audiobahn, as for the "fozzie" it still works kinda, only puts out mid on 1 channel and tweets on the other, it was bridged to run my sub which was intermitent on/off spose it could be the speakers??? grayo94 0
amp will not usually put out some frequencies and not others, sounds like the speakers to me, would try a mates amp first to check
madspark01 0
clever lad you wont go wrong with the audiobahn a bit pricy but dam good quality the intermtant on/off is known as clipping and is often linked to a faulty speaker coil so try the amp with a different sub just in case so as to identify if the sub is faulty and not strain or damage your new amp been there cost a bit to fix amps thats how i learned about the fault
PEDROX 0
thanks for the advice..I will check it out. the amp was running 2 6x9's bridged to run the sub, I have just sold the sub as Im doin a proper instole and changing it, so here's hoping its the 6x9's that are shagged or I'll have one pissed ebayer
