The Monk 50 Posted December 2, 2008 Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 Sounds to me like the head bolts have been over tightened or when putting the HG on, they've dropped the CH onto it at an angle, checked it over or not wanted to bother replacing HG and over tightened to compensate for split.......I've listened to mechanics I know talk about mechanics damaging customer cars or the new components and instead of ordering another, (cost to them, ramp/garage space), just sticking it on with a temp fix so when it does fail again, they can deny liability as the customer has had it for a set period of time.
