rp24k 0
Hi, a while back we got a mk3 gti 16v for the mrs. she was worried bout changin from her pug 306 but my vr6 changed her mind.last week she said it was chugging a bit, so i topped up the levels n hoped for the best as nothing looked wrong.Well a couple of days ago i tried to start it and all i got was the car turning over and not firing. with the oil light flashing on the dash. i have now changed the plugs, leads, rotor arm, and dizzy cap. when i took out the plugs they were all an inch deep in oil!!!! so left the plugs out and turned it over for a bit to pump the oil out. i cleaned everywhere to soak the oil up, put the plugs back in and still not firing!! i know i'm getting fuel and a spark now. i will be changing the rocker cover gasket 2moro, but will a dodgy rocker cover gasket cause enough release of pressure to not able the car to start?the car hasn't even done 100k and is only a 96, with a full service history.i really am stumped on this one guys, can any one help please? the mrs is driving a ford ka at the moment so she's not best pleased.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nice one, i'd really appreciate the help. cheers, Pig
