adam78 0 Posted January 8, 2009 Report Share Posted January 8, 2009 Hi Guys and Gals,Heres the story so far,About 3 months ago i noticed that when drivng say over 40 mph the temp gage would drop from the normal operationg temp of 90 right down to 60ish. So I got the stat changed. This seemed to clear the problem up until I went on the M way, The water temp would stay at 90 until i went over a certain speed for a prolonged period of time then in would drop 5 - 10 degrees. So the change of stat has made the problem better but its not fixed. Where do i go from here? I Dont have Vag comThanks for reading and happy new yearAdam Link to post Share on other sites

I had a simalar problem once, changed stat, temp senders etc, even though the car ran fine with no excessive pressurisation of the hoses. Started to run out of ideas then shortly afterwards the fuel guage started playing up, came to the conclusion that the car was fine and tried a different set of clocks. Turns out it was the guages in the clocks were knackered. Link to post Share on other sites
