Pete.sVR6 0
AllCan anybody shed any light on why I am getting no hot air from the climatronc unit?, I had the same problem at the same time I noticed the thermostat was playing up (causing cool running) this has since been changed, could this be just air bubbles in the cooling system? &| any advice?Cheers. VR6Pete 1,455
Hi Pete,Your quite lucky as ive had some big problems with my climatronic unit as of late. Does you air con kick in at all?And does you radiatar fans kick in as they should also when the air con is turned on and so on?
VR6Pete 1,455
Also, VAG-COM can test the climatronic unit for any faults.... Are you coming to the RR day?
Pete.sVR6 0
VR6Pete,Cheers for the reply, Rad fans do kick in etc, I had recently replaced the Thermostat, due to cool running, and that is now all sorted but just before that was done, noticed one morning that I had no heat from the heater, however this went away but has now returned and has been like it for the last week, suspect either there is a air bubble maybe? or there is some problem with the climate control, have been told that you can access the fault codes somehow?, I am not loosing water anywhere either?cheers. Pete.sVR6 0
Sorry forgot to say, the climate control flashes, every time I start the car, which I know signifies a fault - doh
VR6Pete 1,455
the climatronic versions of the air con are a pain!before you go down the route I did and spend upwards of 200 quid...... get it on the VAG-COM (if your goin the RR road, normally somone will take theirs and Vince connects it up on the RR also....) It could be a number of things really.... fan control module unit (I have a spare one here that works) thermo stat housing sensors wich tell the control module unit to kick in various systems which in turn's tell's the climatronic unit what to do) It's not too difficult to drain the coolant, given it's probably the cheapest route to go down, it be tempted to start there if you have a hunch it's that.Pete
VR6Pete 1,455
Sorry forgot to say' date=' the climate control flashes, every time I start the car, which I know signifies a fault - doh[/quote']mine doest that at times..... however VAG-COM picks up an intermittent fault with an internal fan inside my cabin.... Pete.sVR6 0
Thanks Pete, will try a few things at the weekend, has been a pain in the arse with nights drawing in and the weather to do anything, as you say try the easy and cheaper stuff first, unfortunately can't make it to the RR day so will probably have to find a vw approved garage.cheers, for now?
