danb 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Share Posted October 26, 2004 you need a permanant live to the stereo so it saves all the radio stations and all of your settings . Did the stereo loom bstill have the original plugs on them , if not and you cant find a wire you can run one straight from the battery . Does ciggy lighter not have a permanant feed ? binliner 0 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Share Posted October 26, 2004 My pioneer did the same... the constant live (yellow) and ignition live (red) were different colours in different vehicles apparently... swapping those round (connecting red to yellow and vice versa) solved it Link to post Share on other sites
SankysVR6 1 Posted October 26, 2004 Report Share Posted October 26, 2004 or you could just get a voltmeter on it and see which ones 12v all the time.or failing that get 12V bulb attach 2 wires to it put one end ground and the other end to either end of the two wires and see which one lights up the bulb with the key out Link to post Share on other sites
