Roan 0
could throw a few hundred at a pro detailing startup?Try quite a few thousand! Seriously, there's a bit more to it than just washing and a bit of buffing. Most pro detailers spent years learning and refining their techniques working for others or unpaid as a hobby. It also takes years to build up a decent client base too, and the work is really, really tough physically (and in all weathers). Marketing is largely by word of mouth, since no-one really knows what a £300 job entails and is quite happy to take their diesel eurobox down to the local swirl-o-matic at £5 a go. Plus these days getting a £300 detail is probably the last of peoples' intentions financially speaking...I'm not trying to put you off, just giving you the facts from what I've read elsewhere - sorry if it sounds like I'm trying to be a know-it-all. Good luck in your job hunt though!
