nmackenzie 0
Hi Guys,I have just bought a full stainless steel Milltek exhaust system for my car. I've been told if I don't upgrade my engine mounts there is a chance I could put a crack in the manifold......is there such thing as a de-cat pipe with a flex?? I'm sure I saw a post on here about one not so long ago.....thanks
craggsy 91
When you say full system is that from cat back or manifold back?If its cat back then you wont crack manifold at all as there is a flex pipe before the cat. IF its SS manifold then yes you will need to change the engine mounts as well, plus wrapping the manifold
nmackenzie 0
its the manifold back. do you have to wrap the manifold? what exactly does this do? Is it possible to get a decat pipe with a flex in it so that you don't have to upgrade the engine mounts? I heard that when you upgrade the mounts you get more vibration etc....thanks

rigs 0
There is no noticable vibration with even solid engine mounts (which I have) - it's a 6 pot remember so it's fairly smooth running unless you fiddle with it.
