deanthebuilder 0
what sort of general top end spedd do you guys get out of your vr's ?Cant seem to get mine over about 125 ish at around 5k rpm in 5th is that about right?seems abit low to me the car has got 18"s on it if that makes any effect just thought it would rev higher in 5th 4th will get around 120mph then 5th dont do alot to be honest. The car has full service history and 102k on the clock pulls hard and had a good go at a scooby today up along hill which was impressive in my book. Also i think the exhaust if knackered or atleast very worn out stantard one.any ideas???thanksDean
thegoth 5
The manual says 225kph / 140mph with 15" wheels. somewhere there is a link to a rolling radius calculator which will tell you how far out the speedo will read depending on wheel / tyre size
nivag27 5
I had my standard golf up to 135 and it could of kept going a bit. On a private road of course. I have yet to try the corado but I will soon hehe

jesterwalker69 0
Read 157mph on a TomTom and obviously the needle was off the clock. Took a bit to get there and i'd say it pretty much had no more to give. Again on a VERY long private road!

craggsy 91
Well shouldnt be the wheels fault as at 70mph with 215/35 18 tyres your speed will be 72.6mph
