russj249 2
I sold a car about a month ago, the woman contacted my via eBay saying she will pick the car up and she can't wait to have it. Then on the sat she arranged to pick it up, she rang and postponed it a week. Which was fine. She rang me tonight and said she wont be picking it up which has totally f***ed my insurance money up for the VR6.I've requested the eBay fees off her which she said is fine. But now I've got a car stuck on the drive, I have to pay insurance off by end of month, and no money. Is there anything I can do to get some compensation money off her etc as I'm really screwed now, but on the phone she said she's not paying anything as it's not her fault she's not picking it up. Mark_H 0
Hi, not 100% sure about it but if she won the auction isn't it a contract to buy ??? Can you try offering the loosing bidder a second chance offer ?
russj249 2
that's what I thought. I'm sure I could have something for messing me around and then saying she doesn't want it. eBay states that don't buy an item if you're not going to pay for it etc..I have sent 2nd highest bidder 2nd chance, but it went 3 weeks ago so chances are he's already found another one. It's so annoying. I wouldn't mind but my insurance is £2k and when relying on them picking the car up for £1.5k.. it's a big shock when it's got to be paid off by the end of the month.
