f4rrs 0
Hi,Planning to change my coolent this weekend as looks like it hasn't been changed for years.Had a quick look under the bonnet and the bottom red hose looks like a real bugger to get to from underneath. Is it as hard as it looks or is there an alternative raining point that i have missed.Your tips ewill be greatly recievedCheers Paul

mpgscott 0
Its not that hard you can reach it from the top under the bonnet thats how i did mine, then simply flushed it through with a hose and plenty water. Takes about 3 ltrs of coolant and 7 of water to fill the system and G12 the red one is the coolant to use, since its an aluminium head! Also its really worth for the little money changing your water pump as this was causing me big problems as all the fins were missing see http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?248787.0#post_270804 this is what mine looked like, again an easy enough job to do when the coolant is drained. What miles has your car done, and what temp does your oil sit at normally??Cheers
