pat_986 0
Think the pump is working, its circulating up to the header tank
Timah89 1
Think what you are seeing is Aux water pump [electrical]. Real one is on drivers side and original ones are notorious for loosing plastic vanes and bearings going ending up with your car sounding like a tank! Replace pump, belt and tensioner in c2hrs and £100 from GSF. I put post up a while ago on how to do thisCheers
pat_986 0
Cheers.just so I know where I am, why would the cooling system become pressuised if the water pump had gone?
thegoth 5
it should always presurize to some degree as the coolant expands when hot. But you should be able to just about squeeze the pipes out of shape. what is the temp gauge on the dash reading?
pat_986 0
Normal TempsLike I say, the top hose was rock, with exesive pressure relesed when i opened the expantion tank?
