eltel 0
Just before the winter set in I 'employed' a couple of mates to help undertake the task of a heater matrix... A long job and whatever I was told, still had to take the dash out. Was a good laugh doing it, but once is enough!
eltel 0
Here's a couple from the engine bay... A couple of the previous motor thrown in too. Some of these were taken on the way to and from E38 last year, my old Cupra R, now owned by a mate and another ones Ibiza FR.
eltel 0
Here's the most up to date pics. Now running the S3 rims, need to get them refurbed a dark colour I think. Just before we headed up to UD last weekend she got a damn good clean and detail!

eltel 0
Cheers guys! Lots more I'd like to do, when funds allow as usual! Wheels needed refurb when I got them, rear axle bushes next tho...Bhp was said to be about 260ish, I've not had her on the rollers to confirm yet.No solenoid on boot tho, like u said TheGoth, plinth was left
eltel 0
Well the latest installment, I don't tend to update very often but the car needed some work for MoT back in June, so I decided to get those items done and a few other issues done which I was aware of, so new sump gasket, new custom unions on the supercharger return, crankshaft sensor, ISV, forge 007p and a Lambda probe. Powerflex bushes used to replace the worn rear axle bushes and new lower arms with bushes... A couple of 'holes' in the floor from a previous owner jacking the car up in the wrong places and a bit of a tidy up underneath. Audi TT 312mm brakes now up front and two of the S3 wheels now refurbed in satin black... 2 being done soon. New airfilter, MAF and OS lower front spoiler due to a 'badger' incident on the A3!! Of all places...Apart from that she's been going alright LOL! Still have some hesitation when light throttle cruising but not arching from coil pack, so a new set of plugs are going to go in. Hopefully that will be it for a while so I can enjoy the noise again!!!
b19drg 0
Did you have spacers on your BBS rims ? they sit out alot further than mine
bungy 2
Very nice VR you have there. Really like the S3 rims.
eltel 0
Cheers bungy! Can't wait to get the others finished and get them on. b19drg... I had 5mm each side at the rear only and left the fronts stock... I am toying with the idea of having them refurbed too as they look sweet with the 312's behind them!! Lol
b19drg 0
Thanks mate , are yours the 6.5 wide or the 7's ? mine sit in so far i need to sort , was looking at 20mm at the back but i guess i dont need to go anywhere near that wide !
eltel 0
Well i was looking at possibly changing to the 20mm, 10 a side, can't remember the width of mine, I think they are the 7's but will check.
b19drg 0
Thanks mate , I have been looking at spacers and i dnt even think a 20mm will be enough to bring them to the arch properly
eltel 0
Yeah I know what ya mean, they a bit rubbish as the offset is about 42 i believe! The S3 rims are 35ish and fill the arch much better
b19drg 0
I may change them , really fancy a set of Porsche twists on it, but not sure about going 17 form
eltel 0
Mmm... porsche twists look aweosme! I wouldn't go bigger than 17's, the 16's work, but I have found the 17's slightly more practical when it was used daily
matty.vrt 120
i used to have the 6.5j ones and i ran 2*15mm on the front and 2* 20mm on the rear
