Deep VR6 chin spoiler

Recommended Posts

Just got myself a set of these from GPC.

Was looking at the spoiler on my car and there are 4 screws holding the spoiler to the splash guards. How have other people attached the new spoilers to the splash guards? Do you need early VR6 ones?

can we make bets on how long your splitter will last? the copies appear to be very weak in comparison to vw ones, but gpc's may be better. never use a gsf one, you'll need another within a week.

yeah, i'd loose the splach guards. get some early ones second hand if you come across some for pennies.

bought mine for VW in the end, they dont even fit properly !!!!

but they are bulletproof, the splitter took a nasty knock from a pigeon at 70 on a quiet carrage way....i dunno why these frigging birds dont hear a HUGE vr6 power towards them....

anyways, i had to get the hole car valet'ed and the splitters look like they took most of the impact low down, the side bits came unclipped slightly but other than that they are good....very strong

it was a specially trained kamakazi pigeon

if it hit the plastic splitter at the bottom of the bumper then it didnt break becuz its tough and more importantly flexible :D

Just a point about the splash guards, but on the offside (drivers), if you have an induction kit beware of the water floading the air filter and getting sucked into the engine, a friend HAD a VR6 and it killed his engine :( , not good as there is a big hole in the side of the wing and the water is flung at the filter and the engine when its wet, instead of the arch liner. :)
