vr6binks 0
hello guys, ive got a golf mk3 vr6 and i want more power out of it and i think the only option for big power is a supercharger ! i have been told that the eaton m62 is the one to have but as these are quite expensive i was thinkin about the g60 supercharger but are these under-powered for a vr6 ? also what else will i need to do to the engine to fit a supercharger?? any help will be amazing, thanks
Ben Seabrook 4
have a read through this http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?215746.post- but Vortech and the Z-Engineering chargers are more common on VR's. For really big power though you need to go turbo
Antihero1981 8
agree with Ben.......Vortech and z engineering , but you can pick up a rotrex these days for good money and run more boost...looking for about 1600ish for vortech set up..stage

H13VYY 0
ah ok !!! although as I am running the Z Engineering one the oil is all self contained in the charger unit *-) You lucky bugga..you got the later generation charger! The one i had bought was the early generation ceramic bearing charger, which are very unrealiable and had many problems therefore i didn't go through with the deal. Im saving for a turbo now anyway. Just waiting for C2 motorsports to realease their kit to see what they got on offer. In regards to the post..the eaton charger have supposedly better low down power..but more difficult to install as not many people have done it. Sounds good tho!
Antihero1981 8
yeah i knew i forgot something ,you can run with standard engine mounts until you get some extra cash sorted........but def worth the cash!!!!yeah my engine temp does not go above 85 with the cooler...........even when i am heavy footed
