binliner 0
My coilovers have had it, I temporarily replaced them with some second hand shocks n springs but tbh they're abysmal, worse than leaking coilovers!So... I need to get some new coilovers and wanted to know what people have got and what they think of them in terms of handling/comfort and wether they seize or not (keeping in mind my car is a daily, not a track car) I have some in mind but wondered if there's any cheaper ones out there that are any good? craggsy 91
I went with KONI coilovers myself about 4 yrs ago......not tried altering height but they are covered in crap, but stainless steel bodies so should be ok ish.Ride is great on soft but really hard at firmest setting, but thats only for track and strip really. About £600 now tho, I paid lots less
binliner 0
Yeah a friend has (and rates) konis, handle well and still going strong 5 years later! Koni & KW are both possibilities but priceyAny recommendations for or against any cheaper set ups?

H13VYY 0
Im running FK silverlines (stainless steel & only height adjustable). They are suprisingly soft but at the same time decent around bends when racing (not the best). But they are perfect for me because i use the car daily. If i was to purchase coilies again, i'd get the FK silverline X's (damping adjustable aswell).
binliner 0
I've had FK konigsports on a previous VR which were great... FK highsports (which I presume are like silverlines but not stainless)are the ones I've just binned because after 2 years they're seized and leaking
H13VYY 0
Yeh the FK highsports are same as mine but not stainless steel. Thats the main reason why i bought the silverlines..as i heard they are alot more durable. See how they go.

krave 0
Lol, Yeah i was, had almost everything, clutch and software away, had a engine built up in shed with lowered compression and recon head. just before xmas lost my job and sold everything at a big loss. So depressing. Just done a mk2 vr and hope to go down the route again in the future when my new venture takes off lol.
