icewolf9 0
I honestly dont know where the noise is coming from so I dont know which section this should be in.It's either coming from the power steering (does power steering make noise!?) or perhaps the offside front wheel... there or there abouts.Basically, I can drive it absolutely fine there's no drop in speed or power or handling or anything like that... but every time I turn to the right - even slightly, there's a werid noise... It's hard to describe, it's sort of like a buzzing noise... but muffled...??Sorry for being vague... it's more of an irritation than anything, but does anyone know about this? Is it a known problem or...?Any advice or input would be great, cheers! Lauren x
shail 0
Power steering does make a noise when you turn the wheel, but I wouldn't call it a buzzing noise. Check your power steering fluid is on MAX. I had a power steering leak a while ago which made the steering noisy when turning. Also have somone turn the steering with the bonnet up and see if you can hear the noise when stationary in the area of the rubber aux

Knightrider 1
Find an empty car park and drive it at walking pace on full lock, both ways. Have a mate stand outside and see if they can hear which side and/or where it is coming from. If it is noisey whilst doing that, could be a CV joint.

shail 0
Power steering fluid - there is a resevoir with a GREEN cap in the engine bay, in between the battery and the engine. Unscrew the lid and have a look at the level of fluid on the dipstick.
