I'm out of it all day today, having lunch with mother, gotta do a b&q trip later, and tomorrow i have the joy of work in the morning, so probably won't actually get anything done till sunday afternoon! Pants :-)

Little update; picked wheels and tyres up off of bungy tuesday (probably the worst day to pick regarding the major traffic caos that was southampton!), and had the tyres fitted, so they can go on and i might actually be able to take it up the road! :-)

Happy days!!

I've been meaning to get some pics up for a while now, so i'l make an effort tomorrow to get snapping!

Sorry for the very long delay on updating my thread, but work and the time of year have taken priority lately.

Wheels are on and are looking spot on!

I've made my de-cat, cat, middle section, and rear of my exhaust.

It runs along side the prop, over the anti rollbar, then under the driveshaft. This way the whole exhaust will come off in 1, if the anti rollbar is dropped.

Well the middle silencer is quite close, but not too bad. Its a 3" system all the way, mid and rear silncers are both straight through.

Its the only picture i've got of the new wheels atm, and my poor attempt at fillering on the old fuel flap.

Yeah just plated it over, then fillered it. And will get the car blown over next year when i can afford it! Its just got paint and filler on it to stop it rusting!

And cheers bungy, they do look good with those beefy brakes behind them.

Yes and no, runs better, but i think the fpr is playing up. It goes really lean when you blip the throttle, but richens up if the throttle is held open.

So should get another fpr soon, and hopefully start some mapping down the lanes! :-)

Heres the pictures of me fitting a corbeau bucket seat to a modified mk3 seat frame.

First off, completely strip the seat so your left with a pile like this.

vr6tproject038-2.jpg

Chuck everything away bar the base!

vr6tproject039.jpg

The 'bum' shaped piece will have to come off now, few cuts with a grinder and a sharp chisel and your should be left with the skeleton of the seat base.

vr6tproject040.jpg

Chuck the shaped piece away, and give the base a clean up.

Then move the tab that holds the height adjuster down so its clear of the new frame your going to put on the top of the base.

Then cut some 25x25, 30x30, or what you've got angle wise, to fit in the seat base, but drill according to the base mounted seat you've got.

And just weld them onto the base!

Finally paint in your favourite colour!

Then bolt it all together, and slide the whole assembly into the sliders.

Then get in to give it a test 'sit' and admire your handy work!

Lovely job :-p
