vrburt 0
Morning all.. I serviced the car this weekend and noticed some oil had started leaking from what looked like a breather pipe obove the exhaust heat shield. But it appears to be this valve type thing (see pic) I'v had a look on vagcat but this thing is not listed and there is no part number. Can anyone help with the name and part number ? Many thanks

jesterwalker69 0
Do you actually need this part??Just in the Samco hose kit there is a replacement hose that goes straight from end to end and no room for breather
thegoth 5
Do you actually need this part??Just in the Samco hose kit there is a replacement hose that goes straight from end to end and no room for breatherit helps stop the throttle body getting gunked up with the beathed oil (vapour). so no you don't actually need it just be prepared to do more cleaning of the TB
RAPgolfvr6182 2
i got a new one off ebay aswell for 34 quid but i needed the whole lot not just the valve
Rikki 2
Its the crankcase breather and as said its not needed. Most people just put a small filter on it, although it will smell i little when stationary?
boostjunkie 0
you can fit a catch tank inline of the two ports and it will stop the oil stuff from getting back into the inlet
