Phat VR6 3
in the wing? you might need to chop the bolt down a bit. but after that just hold the nut in place under it with an open end spanner and tighten it up

petervr6 0
you will find that the correct conversion lifters are smaller than the tail gate struts and may come with fitting help on the packing.
Ben Seabrook 4
here are the fitting instructions that came with my INXX ones mate if there of any help REQUIRED TOOLS: 10mm Open Ended SpannerTIME REQUIRED : 20 mins1. Pop the bonnet2. Starting from the left3. Tighten the bottom alignment bolt on the bonnet hinge4. Remove the top bolt on the bonnet hinge (that why we tightened the bottom ones, so the setting cant change)5. Screw into these holes bolts with threaded end, tighten with the spanner (hand tight, do not over tighten as bolt will snap), don’t forget to use a washer.6. Undo the third wing retaining screw.7. Screw the bolt with the self tapping end into these holes( watch out for wires underneath)8. Push the thick end of the strut into the top fitting, Slide metal clip through the tiny holes in the end of the bonnet lifter and secure into position. This stops the lifter from popping out.9. Ask your helper to lift the bonnet off the bonnet stay and lower gently until the lifter is level with the bottom fitting.10.Push the bottom end into the bottom fitting ( lift the bonnet higher to do this), Slide metal clip through the tiny holes in the end of the bonnet lifter and secure into position. This stops the lifter from popping out.11.Repeat on other side12.Give them a good coat of WD-4013.We recommend apply a thin layer of grease/rust prevention to the strut ends14.Stand back admire.
