jambojones10 0
My 1994 vr6 has a standard full closure alarm and immobiliser. Think its a Scorpion one. My insurance are asking for the model number, any ideas? My keyfob has two buttons on and a switch at the side.

Nerih 0
heh elephant wont insure me with an induction kit!! noooo!!!!oh well, will have to wait until next year to buy one.i'm content with my vr, for the last 3 years ive driven a mk2 1.6 driver...i think i'm the only 22 year old with a vr6 and no points on his/her licence...yet *grin*i think insurance companies are right to charge us the heaven and earth for powerful cars at young ages...means that u can always waste chavs...who don't have the un-chavness to get insured on a vri would recommend trying all of the insurance companies in the sticky...play em off one another, check ur family if anyone works in insurance they will be eligable for discount...i got 40% with my 1.6 with zurich, unforunately they wouldnt insure me on anything above a 1.6 until i was 30...........wankers.[ Edited Sun Nov 07 2004, 11:30AM ]
RALA 0
I have the same alarm, and the leaflet just says 'VAG UK Approved. Advanced Remote Control Vehicle Security System'
binliner 0
My insurance company asked for details of the alarm (same as yours I think) I took the car in to VW where they checked the alarm was working properly before writing a letter to the insurance company confirming that it was a Scorpion 5000 full closure alarm/immobiliser... they did it all for free as well
