sirleeofroy 0
anyone?
petervr6 0
i guess you mean removing the dizzy completely ? if so then no but it will be a mega pain as they corrode in spray WD40 around it and let it settle for a bit but you may need some large grips to turn it side to side to free it up. but dont forget to mark it so you can put it back were it came off..that is if your taking it out..pete
VDub_Steve 1
to check cam sensor to off dizzy cap and rotor arm should be able to check it then.
sirleeofroy 0
oh ok, i actually wanted to change my rotor arm too but i cant see how it comes off, looking at the new 1 it just pushes on but ive tried pulling it off to no avail, im pretty sure my cam sensor is fine so i'll just leave the dizzy for now unless i have to take it off to get the rotor arm off... does the rotor arm come off easy? i just dont want to break anything!Oh and thanks pete, that was what i meant! VDub_Steve 1
you have to pry the dizzy off one side by the other takes a while but will come off! the rotor arm should just come off when you pull it mate and its right under dizzy cap so you dont need to move the dizzy at all
sirleeofroy 0
Yea i thought it should pull off cos when i changed my plugs, leads and dizzy cap i thought a rotor arm was a good idea but i jus couldn't get it off, i'll give it another go when its stopped lashing it down, cheers guys... boostjunkie 0
on the mk3 vr6's there are two types of rotor arm, depending on early or late AAA engne, one is push on and the other has a small hidden grub screw on the side,
