xyber 1
for that money, id rather sell my V9 kit and then put the money that you wouldve spent on the cogged setup towards a rotrex. Thats crazt money for what it is!
rodney 17
it may well work but as the £/$ is pants thats a lot. you could use the extra to turbo or even if I recall correctly upgrade to the next level..

john555 0
it may well work but as the £/$ is pants thats a lot. you could use the extra to turbo or even if I recall correctly upgrade to the next level..what do you mean upgrade do you mean change the compressor housing/ trim
xyber 1
with the exchange rate at the mo, that set up is £900, plus p&p and a spank from customs, so probably edging towards the £1200 mark
john555 0
hmmm that sucks abit i no last time i bought from america the dollar was 2 to the pound ish donat fancy paying £1200 for some pullys n a bit of cast plate think ill just concentrate on getting the syncro setup in for now
FishWick 21
Total cost wil be £1063 + shipping at today's rates.A lot of work went into those and as it's a small market, they've got to get their money back.Cogged drives are horrendously noisy though.
john555 0
id love to do it and if the exchange rates were like they used to be id do it straight away but being as they areid probly be better off waiting and getting a v1 or something would probly still want to go cogged setup with a v1 thou
Antihero1981 8
way to much cash to upgrade!!! why do you want to upgrade to cogged set up?you been having issues with the v9?mine runs fine on stage 2 and about 290bph ish.....?

Antihero1981 8
or rotrex?how much bhp do you want to get ? what mods are you currently running?always meth injection/charge coolers ect....stage 3 ect
john555 0
already chargecooled im looking at rotax but my mates seized so dont realy fancy one
kadvr6 0
the ONLY way you can seize a rotrex charger is not keeping an eye on the self contained oil level, there are people out there that have done 50k plus with a rotrex charger with no trouble at all.you can buy a kit to repair the rotrex chargers from R-TEC in holland, but they have to get all the parts together for you, as they don't stock the repair kit due to them not needing to sell them. kcw 1
Nice cooler mate, think you bought my ZW1s a while back unless somebody else has a similar cooler on a vr in newcastle lol hows the car coming along? There was a guy on Vortex (i think) who make his own toothed belt set-up for his vortech, had an engineering shop make up some for him IIRC, Pitstop and AW tracksport did something similar when putting toothed belts on M45s for G40s.My mates G run a toothed belt set up and I''ve always wanted a similar sound from my car, I think its do-able if you though properly about pully sizes etc and did it yourself.Ken
