madspark01 0 Posted November 8, 2004 Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 both my nephew and myself have vr6,s he has a 93 golf and i have a 99 sharan i noticed that his steering on any type of cornering slow or fast is terrible when we had a look at it we noticed that the near side wheel when you push on the tyre moves about 2" back and forward i sudgested he get it in to a garage but young lads dont listen what could it be i also noticed my suspension is hard as hell while his is soft as warm butter is this normal or is he in desperate need of a major sus overhaul Link to post Share on other sites

acf8181 0 Posted November 8, 2004 Report Share Posted November 8, 2004 it could be a very very worn out wheel bearing, bushes (as said), a damaged ball joint, or the hub to shock bolts are loose (theres camber adjustment in them, can only be done by a specialist)i dont think theres anything else...unless theres some serious accident damage. either way its a death trap and shouldn't be driven anywhere.
