SimonABT 0
Just about to bid on this Ignition coil for my Mk2 VR. My engine is an early Passat with a dizzy. Even though this advert doesnt list my engine is it the correct one??http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VOLKSWAGEN-GOLF-CORRADO-JETTA-VENTO-VR6-IGNITION-COIL_W0QQitemZ250342598617QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item250342598617&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1683%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C39%3A1%7C240%3A1318%7C301%3A1%7C293%3A1%7C294%3A50

thegoth 5
yes, that is an early VR6 coil. Passat VR6s are rare which is probably why it isnt listed. Does it look like yours? However the ignition system also needs a final amplifier stage which bolts onto the bottom of it.When mine wasn't firing it was the final stage module which was foobard. Some places such as GSF or europarts sell both parts together, alternativly a mk3 16v coil will work as a stop gap or as a test to see if it fixes any problems you are having.
